Hi there! We’re Linda and Alex, the mother daughter duo and creators of Veganosity. Thanks for visiting us, we’re so happy you’re here. If you’re looking for Southern inspired vegan comfort food recipes, you’ve come to the right place.
We love vegan comfort food and we’re really good at making it. Take a tour through our site and you’ll find all of the recipes that scream, stretchy pants required!
The good news, they’re all plant-based recipes, so you don’t need to feel guilty eating them. Now sit back, relax, and eat happy. 🙂
Also, in case you didn’t know, we’re published cookbook authors. We’ve written two vegan cookbooks that will help you make amazing vegan BBQ (you don’t even need a grill) and everyday meals, from breakfast to dessert.

Smoothies make a great breakfast, post workout fuel, afternoon snack, and you can even serve them as dessert if you put a dollop of coconut whipped cream on top.
One of our favorite smoothies is this cherry smoothie. We added rolled oats to make it thick and creamy, and it adds protein and fiber.
The addition of pure vanilla extract gives it a little extra something that made us think of pie.
You can make it even more extra by adding chocolate. Because, who doesn’t like a chocolate cherry smoothie?
Tips for Making the Perfect Smoothie
Use frozen fruit instead of ice. Ice melts and waters down the flavor. Frozen fruit will make the smoothie thick and frozen without watering it down.
Add enough, but not too much, liquid. This will prevent a watery smoothie. It’s always best to start small and then add as needed.
Include a natural sweetener, such as dates or maple syrup if necessary. Some fruit (especially if it’s picked too soon) may not be as sweet as you like, so feel free to add a little extra sweetener.
If you’re looking for even more protein, add a scoop of plant-based protein powder.
A few handfuls of spinach will add a lot of vitamins, just know that the color of the smoothie will change.
