HOW TO MAKE VEGAN BBQ SAUCE
I can’t believe that we have never shared our simple bbq sauce recipe with you before!
For crying out loud, we wrote a vegan BBQ cookbook!!! We know BBQ, y’all! So it’s high time that we give you this recipe.
You’re going to love how easy and quick this sauce is. You’ll also appreciate that it doesn’t contain any of the nasty ingredients you’ll find in store bought barbecue sauce, such as high fructose corn syrup.
STEP ONE
Put all of the ingredients in a saucepan, whisk until combined, and bring to a boil.
STEP TWO
Simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
HOW DO YOU STORE HOMEMADE BARBECUE SAUCE?
We use a mason jar to store ours, if there is any leftover.
Place the sauce in a clean container with a cover and store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Our 10 ingredient barbecue sauce is easy and is done in less than 30 minutes. It's gluten, oil, and refined sugar free.
- 1 ½ cups tomato sauce
- ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp molasses
- ¼ cup coconut sugar you can use brown sugar if you don’t have coconut sugar
- 2 tsp lime juice
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp cumin
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper

Put all of the ingredients in a small saucepan and whisk until completely combined. Bring the sauce to a boil, then reduce to a low simmer and simmer for 20 minutes.
The calorie and nutrition information is for the entire recipe. Individual servings will vary depending on how it's served.
Store the bbq sauce in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
