Can you smell Fall in the air yet? We can! And that means adding some much needed spiced-apple flavors to your meal plans! Go ahead and recreate our delicious overnight caramel apple oats for the perfect Fall-themed breakfast!
So clearly, we’re a little obsessed with Fall. And let’s be real, why wouldn’t you be? The perfect temperatures, beautiful colors of changing leaves, and most importantly, the most incredible flavor combinations on the planet! For September we’re turning to the most classic in season fruit: apples.
Health Benefits of Apples
The great thing about apples is that they’re probably one of the heathiest Fall foods to add to your diet! Did you know that apples are extremely beneficial for your brain health? I didn’t either! It turns out that apples have a compound called quercetin that can help reduce cell death. Super cool right? And apparently this compound can actually help Alzheimer’s Disease patients by increasing production of essential neurotransmitters!
Not only are apples great for your noggin’, but they also lower bad cholesterol levels decrease risk of diabetes, and can even help you avoid breast cancer. Maybe it’s time to follow that tried and true advice of “an apple a day keeps the doctor away.” We know that we are!
How To Make Caramel Apple Overnight Oats
Let’s be real, a plain apple a day could have the potential to get a little boring. We’re here to give you a variety of recipes this Fall to help you add your apple a day with complex and delicious flavors. Today that recipe is our caramel apple overnight oats.
Obviously this dish is healthy, as explained above, but it’s also satiating and so amazingly flavorful. We use a variety of spices to bring warmth to these Autumn overnight oats with apples and dates. Even the most adamant oat-hater will be begging you for this breakfast dish morning after morning.
Our Date Caramel is what takes this overnight oats recipe to the next level. Just 3 ingredients, super easy to make, and delicious!
The best part by far though is that this dish is so easy to make. You can make it days in advance and quickly grab it in the morning. After all, we all have busy lives and don’t always have the time to spend an hour cooking breakfast. But we still want to feel like we’re eating something enjoyable and healthy. A granola bar just isn’t always going to do it. So, prep these babies ahead and you’ll have a decadent and ready-to-go breakfast every morning.
All you have to do to recreate this amazing dish is combine all the ingredients in a mason jar and shake!
