Salted Chocolate Roasted Almond Butter

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of raw almonds – roasted
  • 2 tablespoons of cacao or cocoa powder
  • 3 large dates – pitted
  • ¼ teaspoon of sea salt

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°
  • Put the almonds on a large rimmed baking sheet and roast for 2 to 3 minutes or until they’re golden brown. Watch them carefully so they don’t burn. Remove from oven and let them cool.
  • Put the almonds in your food processor or high powered blender. Add the cacao or cocoa powder, dates, and sea salt.
  • Grind the nuts until they’re smooth and creamy.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

If your dates are dry, soak them in water for 20 minutes to plump them up so they'll blend better.
