Vegan Peanut Butter and Carrot Dog Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 cups brown rice flour
  • ½ cup oat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon corn starch
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup peanut butter
  • cup apple sauce
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • cup grated carrots

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°
  • Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper
  • Whisk the dry ingredients together in a medium bowl.
  • Put the peanut butter, apple sauce, and maple syrup in a large mixing bowl and beat until creamy. Add the carrots and combine.
  • Add ⅓ of the flour to the peanut butter mixture and combine, keep adding the flour by thirds until completely combined and the dough forms a ball.
  • Roll out half of the dough on a floured (use rice or oat flour) surface and cut out with a cookie cutter. Continue to roll the dough and cut out the cookies until the mixture is gone.
  • Bake for 12-14 minutes and cool completely before serving to your dogs.
