Petit Vour Vegan Beauty Box Review + Giveaway!
I was not compensated (except for the complimentary beauty box) for this post. All opinions are mine.
Congratulations, Tina, Crafty One, and Ry for winning the Petit Vour Beauty Box Giveaway!
Happy Birthday! Wouldn’t it be fabulous to receive a pink box full of the best vegan beauty products every single month? It would feel like a little birthday celebration every thirty days. I’m in, are you?
Alex turned me on to Petit Vour a few months ago and I’m just a little bit obsessed, of course I needed to share my obsession with you, because it wouldn’t be right to keep all of this fun to myself. You’re welcome.
Here’s the who, what, and why:
Petit Vour (prounounced – peh-tee-vour) was founded in 2013 by the fashion forward and compassionate Madeline Alcott and Ryan Miner. Two cool chicks who expect beauty products to be made with the finest quality ingredients, as well as morally and ethically sound. Meaning, they don’t contain animal products, they’re not tested on animals, and they don’t contain toxic things, such as parabens, phthalates, formaldehyde, sulfates, and other toxins.
They search the world for the best vegan beauty products, test them to make sure they are worthy of being a part of their monthly beauty box, and then ship out samples to us so we can try them.
Petit Vour’s monthly beauty box is the best idea ever. Every month they’ll send you a pretty pink box with generous samples of their favorite products. You’ll get the opportunity to try the newest and best cruelty-free beauty products so you can decide whether or not they work for you. How awesome is that?
So far Alex and I have discovered some pretty amazing products. We LOVE One Love Organics dry shampoo. We both have thin hair that gets oily fast. Their dry shampoo is the only one we’ve found that doesn’t make our hair feel sticky and weighted down. Better yet, instead of making our unwashed hair look dirtier because of dark roots, it brightens them. Who knows why, but it does. Thanks to this product we only need to wash our hair every two days. ♥
I tried all of the products that I received in the complimentary beauty box shown above. They were all great.
The Little Barn Geranium + White Tea beauty mist felt so good when I sprayed it on my skin, and it smelled amazing. It has geranium oil in it, which apparently has “the power to minimize the look of wrinkles, tightening facial skin, and slowing down the effects of aging.” You know I’ll be putting this to the test.
Yarok Feed Your Moisture shampoo, contains vitamin infused water, organic fair trade African black soap, argan, organic coconut, and organic hemp seed. It made my hair feel super soft and silky.
It’s so nice to see a little shimmer on my nails. I stopped wearing toxic nail polish over a year ago. Thankfully, Lauren B nail polish is free of Dibutyl Phthalate, Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, and Camphor, so I felt good about coating my nails with it.
Even though I don’t have acne or breakouts, I tried the Suki Transformative Purifying Masque. I couldn’t help myself, I love a good facial mask. It made my skin feel smoother and softer. I saved some for Alex because she’s in her twenties, and still has an occasional breakout, so she’ll want to try this product.
Petit Vour only sells beauty and wellness products that are tested and proven to do what they say they will. If you’re looking for a lipstick that lasts and has gorgeous color, you’ll find it on their site. You want a mascara that boosts, lengthens, and thickens your lashes without flaking? They’ve got it. How about moisturizers that will make your skin glow without feeling greasy? Yep, they have those too. They even sell gorgeous vegan handbags and candles.
Animal testing for the sake of beauty is wrong. Every day animals are kept in tiny restrictive cages, burned, poisoned, and blinded. All of that torture takes place so humans can buy cheap makeup, lotions, and magic beauty potions that are filled with dangerous ingredients that we shouldn’t put on our bodies in the first place.
Instead of slathering parabens, formaldehyde, and other toxins on your skin (your largest organ), why not nourish, protect, and beautify with natural ingredients that don’t exploit and harm animals? You might have to pay a little extra, but isn’t your health and well being worth it?
The good people at Petit Vour want you to be good to yourself, and so do we. That’s why we’re going to give three lucky winners a beauty box! Woot-woot! Scroll down and follow the instructions to enter this awesome giveaway. I’ll notify you via email if you’re one of the lucky three. In the meantime, go check out Petit Vour and have some fun searching their website. I guarantee you’re going to love it as much as Alex and I do.
