If you’re not a vegan, think of this day as a health day. A day to reduce the amount of acidic foods that you regularly eat, and to get a glimpse of how good a plant based diet can make you feel. With any luck, you’re going to want to extend Vegan Monday to Tuesday, then Wednesday, and so on.
If you’re a vegan, share this with your non-vegan friends. Let’s show them that vegan food does not equate to a bowl of raw carrots and chia seeds. You know how delicious and healthy vegan food is, so why not convince others to give it a go? Think of Mondays as a call to action day!
Let’s spread the word on the benefits of a plant based diet. Study after study shows that eating a healthy, plant based diet reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes, and other chronic diseases. It’s also good for the environment, and of course, animals. Take a look at this.
You know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It sets the tone for what you eat for the rest of the day, and, eating a healthy breakfast might even inspire you to take the stairs instead of the elevator, park a little further away from the door and walk, or go for a run.
