Lucky you! This week I have two new workouts to post. On Monday I did my first attempt at TRX and yesterday I endured my first hot yoga class! Just saying, this class is amazing. The temperature of the room was set to around a humid 105 °F so the second you step into the room your skin starts to feel sticky and your muscles instantly begin to relax. Around the ten minute mark I began dripping sweat. Every time a downward dog pose was performed a pool of sweat accumulated on my mat. By the end of the workout my hair was soaked along with my shirt. I will say though that while this workout does have benefits there are some things that are left out.
- Increases flexibility
- Helps release negative energy accumulated during the week
- Leaves you feeling refreshed and relaxed
- Very minimal amounts of cardio
- Sometimes uses easier poses than those who are more advanced in yoga would like
