When was the last time that you weren’t in a hurry? We rush to get to work in the morning, or to get the kids to school. We hurry to get our projects and errands done. We get home as fast as we can to make dinner so that we can get to whatever evening activities we have scheduled. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could just slow down a little and relax?
As hurried as we are, we also know that eating fresh, whole foods is an important part of living healthy. Foods rich in vitamins, antioxidants, and fiber are a vital ingredient if you want to avoid feeling run down; and let’s face it, processed and fast food won’t give you those things.
Fortunately, it’s possible to eat well on a limited time frame. This marinara is my go to recipe. I’ve been making it forever, and my family never gets tired of it. How could they, I mean, who could possibly say no to fresh tomatoes, onion, garlic, basil, spices, and reduced red wine over pasta?
If you have ten minutes to chop, peel, and dice, and fifteen minutes to cook the ingredients, you have time to eat a healthy, delicious dinner that doesn’t come from a box, a can, or (shivers)a drive through. Yay you!!!
Because I know that you’re probably in a hurry at this very moment, I’m going to give you the recipe as quickly as I can. Ready, set, go!
