If you know me, you know that I love my morning smoothie. The more greens, the better. That’s why when I was asked to review my friend Becky’s new e-book, 40 Days of Green Smoothies I jumped at the chance.

They’re also a great way to sneak greens into the bodies of those who don’t like vegetables. One of my favorite smoothies from Becky’s book is the Coconut Blackout Smoothie. I try to consume a lot of berries because they have so many health benefits, and blackberries are one of my favorites. This smoothie is made with blackberries and other ingredients, such as banana, coconut milk, chia seeds, and lettuce—I chose butter lettuce because it’s so mild. Full of potassium, healthy fat, vitamins, antioxidants, and protein, this is a great smoothie that takes five minutes to make, and it’s so rich and creamy. The perfect way to begin the day.
