Hi there! Welcome to our non-judgmental, everyone is welcome, vegan blog. The place where you can always find healthy, simple, whole food recipes that everyone will love.
My name is Linda and I’m a vegan. I’m also the mother of the lovely Alex (the other half of Veganosity), and Griffin, my handsome son. I’m married to my high school sweetheart and best friend, Greg. And, I’m the best friend of our two adorable little dogs, Gizmo and Coco.
I became a vegan In January of 2014 and never looked back. Before going vegan I ate a mostly vegetarian diet, and occasionally ate chicken and fish. Alex convinced me to stop consuming animal products and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I feel amazing, both physically and spiritually.
Alex and I started this blog to chronicle our vegan journey and it’s turned into a full blown passion of mine. I love creating healthy vegan recipes that non-vegans will love too. I love sharing the stories that inspired my recipes. And, I love connecting with my readers—the best people in the world.
Unlike a lot of vegan bloggers, I don’t have a jaw dropping story that led me to veganism. I’ve never had an eating disorder, I’ve never witnessed animal abuse (thank God), I’ve never had a chronic physical ailment (again, thank God, and knock on wood), and I’m not a professional chef.
What I do have is year’s decades of experience in the kitchen, and living a healthy lifestyle. I’m a pretty darn good cook. I get the whole balance thing when it comes to making a delicious recipe. I understand the importance of balancing sweet and salty, that most recipes need a little acid and fat, and I can look into an almost empty pantry/refrigerator and whip up a great meal.
Few things make me happier than cooking for my family and friends, and then sitting around a table with them for hours while we eat and laugh. For me it’s the ultimate expression of love and appreciation.
I graduated with honors from DePaul University.
I was a personal fashion stylist and retail manager.
I play league tennis (singles and doubles) and keep fluctuating between USTA 3.5 and 4.0 levels.
I’m a runner and have completed numerous half-marathons and I’m training for a marathon.
I volunteer for a children’s book bank and an animal rescue.
My promise to you:
I’ll never post a recipe that I’m not 100% in love with.
I’ll always be honest.
I’ll always answer your comments and emails.
I’ll never judge you.
I’ll always appreciate you.
